Abandoned Codex

I must confess that despite my many years playing and running muds, I've not done much outside tinyMUSH (round about 1992-1997), Circle, Merc (both around 1996-1997), and Smaug (1997-onwards).
So, what all do the rest of you play when you're not on Abandoned Codex?

I'd probably play WoW if it were free and I had a half decent compy Smile

But I pretty much stick to console games outside of the MUD.

I'd probably play WoW if it didn't mean having to pretty much give the mud up - there's only so many hours in a day. :/

Ok I submitted only play codex for 2 reasons:
A) Because currently I do, only play codex.
B) Because voting is stupid. I've played and imm'd Godwars servers, played an imm'd a mush, etc... Yet I cant vote for all of them.

I voted for the MUSH one because I use to play one for a few years before Abandoned Codex. I've tried other muds for a few hours but I can't get into them; usualy their color scheme is just too ugly for me. Right now when I play it is only AC with the occasional FuryMUCK thrown in when I need it.

I voted for mmorpgs cause I've spent a fair bit of my gaming time lately on WoW. I used to play it back several months ago but got bored and just recently was convinced by my roommate to take it up again. Who knows how long I'll last...
I've played other muds in the past as well. None have really maintained my interest though. I played a bit on several of the muds Keolah made a while back but she was way too flipping insane and made it not fun to play there. Other than that, most muds other than AC get boring pretty fast for me. Dunno why.

In an attempt to get some players back, I've emailed some carefully selected addresses in the pfiles that haven't been logged on since 2004 with an offer of free qps if they come back. A lot of them are bouncing straight away, unfortunately, but we'll see what happens with the others.
If anyone's still in contact with an ex-player (and by that I don't mean banned :p ) that could be coaxed back into the fold with qps and fair words then let me know and I'll see what I can do.
