Not largely. It does have its useful tidbits (like vials of etherealness, or the flaming stones), but personally I find it out of place. I don't know precisely what the creator of the area imagined, but when I think of the name "Astral Plane" I think of another plane of existence into which people cannot enter without a magical means. I've always been interested in introducing more in the way of different planes to the world, but having an area that IS a plane, where players can just stroll into it seems kind of silly and makes the idea of different planes of existence seem much less interesting than they should be. I wouldn't mind seeing it removed entirely, but I would be much more interested in revamping it and making it much harder and interesting to access (as well as more fitting to RP).

I agree, just walking into another plane of existence is rediculous, but being as the Gith race is a part of the mud I think it should stay... just make it more difficult to enter...

its the only place i know i can get mana restore even though its like a drop in the bucket for my mana, but if you put mana restore in a few more places then i don't mind if you remove astral planes
