Well i wonder is it cheating to get a list of the good equipment (for the lower levels) and where they are and what mob they are on.
Please help me in my quest to help the new players get good gear.

Low level items (6 - 10)
Clogs of the black forest (feet) South of town Found on a hidden mob gypsy (i believe)

Bead Necklace, The chief Gnome has it, in the gnome village

Headstone plaque (shield) Graveyard a Graverobber has it

Chisel (dagger) Graveyard a Graverobber has it.

Multicolored beanie Dwarven daycare The brat has it (i think)

Frost ring (i think thats the name) Dwarven daycare The Doll has it

Anybody else want to continue (this is basicly the most i know of right now

Oh Cloak of sharkskin (layer) Underwater kingdom the Shark has it

Opal rings look in the troll den west of town (got north till you get on the path around xantheus go west (i believe and you should be attacked by a mob go all south then look bed there should be an opal ring in the bed)

We've needed a list for a while. Damn.

Here's some av-level stuff. I'm weak on the lowbie gear.

Lights:
Flame shrouded ball

Rings:
Twisted Nails of Fate, of course, from the Demon of Souls is good.
Ring of Fire Resistance

Amulets:
There's a few options.
Skull amulet is 75 hp, -65 mana, 4hr, 4 damroll.
Amethyst Necklaces provide some mana...45 maybe? as well as 5hr/dr.
Crest of Schleiven is 80 mana, resist slash. (from Adiux area)

Body Armor:

There are so many layers it hurts to talk about it. But, if I were a new av, i'd layer a grey cloak every single time. Warp cloak resists magic. flowing black robes, white dragon hide, robes of the high priest, beautiful silver robes, thin silk robe, white filaments, goat skin cloak, scarlet cape. These are all the layers I personally know. Robes of the Orc Magi, silk robes of worn nether grey are also noteworthy.

Rings:
Scorched bands of glass - Dracolithis drops these from the art gallery 'wasteland' painting.
A good alternative to TNOF's for peeps with devout alignment.

Ears - as there aren't really a lot of earrings between low level and avatar (that I'm aware say for goofy clan equipment):
Seashell earring from the underwater kingdom isn't half bad... +mana, hitroll and some AC if memory serves.

Lots of other toys of old I've since forgotten about... hmm. guess I should find time to play again and refresh my memory some.

there is a good earring for level 34 i believe (i cant go get it again since my primary character i go thru steadings has no eq atm) Elevenstone earring its invisible but its a great earring for evles only its in the chest in steadings of the hill giants.
