Since this time a year ago, Mages have gained Quantum Blast, Crystal Disruption, Galvanic Fervour, and Absorption*. Today I'm adding Equalize, and will be leaving the class to be playtested for a while with these abilities before adding anything else. So if any of you want any more attention paid to Mages, please play them more.
* which is best treated as a group utility spell rather than a combat spell.

Just to give them a slight nudge through the newbie areas, I've reduced the mana cost of 'magic missile' and 'chill touch' a little. |

so I've crumpled slightly and given them RECEIVE MANA (and the warrior counterpart MANARELEASE). Illusionists get it at av. |

Mages are under-rated.
I just wish there was more than two sources for crimson mana crystals. ... well, more than one really, as one of them can't be obtained until at least level 60-70ish (probably higher if you're a mage).
That's assuming you can even enter the area as it's limited to one race.
Anyhoo... I won't be worring about that for at least another 45 levels.  _________________ I don't wanna die, but I 'ain't too keen on living either. |

I've just reduced it a bit more again, and upped their damage as well as that of burning hands, and done the same with cause light for the ol' clerics (from 15 down to 10 mana base). |
