I've been talking to the people at DSVR (the hosting providers) and there's been a few incidents over the last few weeks that've been causing lag.
First a router went down on one of the people they were peering with, which kept the mud in lag for a few days, and then a few days ago one of the other users on the system got hacked and used to send outgoing spam.
Both these issues have now been fixed, so hopefully things will return to normal now. I logged on just now and didn't notice any lag at all.
If the worst comes to the worst and any permanent problems appear on the mud, I have access to another server in London that I could move the mud to. I've only been putting it off this long because I know the people at DSVR personally so I can get a much quicker response from them. |
