I don't know who made the map of pentir, namely because I don't know what map of pentir you're talking about.
I also do not know what to tell you about how to proceed really...it's a map.
I suggest, for the ease of readers, that Up be oriented as North, and Down be set as South, and it would follow that Right would be East, and Left West.
But that's just my opinion. Feel free to go from there. _________________ "Eye level for a kender is door-lock height for the same reason a chipmunk has extra cheek space."

If North is up, what would up be? |

A 'U' of course!! And then the upper floor would be continued at a side location, so the entire thing would be divided by floors. _________________ "Eye level for a kender is door-lock height for the same reason a chipmunk has extra cheek space."

Hi.
Actually I made the map. I used Adobe Illustrator.
Some things were a bit difficult because you have rooms that logically "overlap" each other. Places that led "up" I put "up to mayor's house" or whatever.
I'm working on one for the continent of Arathos. I keep getting distracted by actually playing to work on it, but I do plan on having something finished by the end of the year.

It's more than okay - I've been wanting people to make maps since forever. They'll be handsomely rewarded (if they're any good). |

I've made a couple of hand drawn maps for you, G... problem is you give little to no feedback as to how the map could be improved... or if area placement is correct. I still have the map if you wanna take a look at it... |

The only one I've looked at is zMud, but auto-generated maps tend to be more about room-level mapping and aren't generally very pretty. I'm after something that looks as though it had been put together in character by a cartographer.

Ironic you choose now to say that, cause I only yesterday emailed Baalszkaar with a big ol' list of changes to make to his map. |
