OOC laws I have less use for these days; not since I stopped accepting "...but it doesn't say I can't in the rules!" as an excuse for blatantly antisocial or system-bending behaviour.
The problem with forcing a large set of rules down people's throats is that every additional rule added just strengthens the notion that anything not expressly forbidden on the list is fair game.
I'm tempted to remove it and just rely on the helpfiles so I don't have to keep updating both; although maybe stuff like Mayor elections, the clan war convention, loot limits, and standard clan structures and things could be in a sort of Acts of Xanthean Law online book.
Any volunteers to write one up from the helpfiles? |
