The thing is, this equipment is magically enchanted, thus the enchancements and disenhancements we gain from it are through the magical aspects of it, not from the item itself, par-se.
Also, my earings make me an uber killing machine. Therefore I love them.
And yes, i love my damroll.
And no, a clan means more to me than that, however, this is what a clan OFFERS. I love my clan. Always have. Always will. _________________ "Sleep well, sweet child... the lord holds thee now." |

This is an idea I've already put forward a few times ... but I think it's a really good one, so I'mma throw it up against the wall again: slightly tweaked gear as rewards for quests etc. By slightly tweaked, I mean take something that is reasonably common (like flowing black robes, for example), rename it (maybe to something that IC'ly relates to the quest?), and add a statpoint or two, or maybe a resist or a save throw. |

Yeah i added some save vs spell for a quest item i handed out, seemed to work nicely as a reward. _________________ "Sleep well, sweet child... the lord holds thee now." |

I occasionally do it, but you might be surprised how fiddly it is to fit making and renaming and statting and logging in the 'Adjusted Items Log* into the schedule when you're trying to write quests at short notice** and chase people around.
But if it's what everyone wants I'll try to fit in a bit more in future.
* Did I remember to tell you to use this, Seph? I don't see your name in it.
** I've given up doing days-in-advanced scheduled quests for the time being due to poor attendance, so quests these days tend to be spontaneous ones when people are logged on. Moral of the story: be logged on. |

Which reminds me.... SHIELDBLOCK! The magic users deserve it _________________ "Eye level for a kender is door-lock height for the same reason a chipmunk has extra cheek space."

precisely. I've suggested the idea several times and I think it would be great if it could be done. The skill would require a shield to be equipped and essentially would function much like parry, thus allowing the magic classes which often don't get parry nor dual wield some improved usefulness. I mean, it makes sense anyway doesn't it? If you have a shield, it should do something.
I can't remember if there was a reason this idea was never used in the past... I wouldn't doubt it. _________________ "Eye level for a kender is door-lock height for the same reason a chipmunk has extra cheek space."
